Technical Accounting Consultant

Job Summary

Supporting a leading renewable energy organization, the part-time Technical Accounting Consultant will focus on technical accounting, close stabilization, audit remediation, and ERP enhancement initiatives in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to GL close, consolidations, and technical accounting research while managing audit remediation efforts
• Prepare technical accounting memos and document accounting conclusions in a SOX-controlled environment
• Support ERP enhancements and implementation of a new ETRM trading platform impacting revenue and cash settlement processes

Required qualifications:

• Strong hands-on Technical Accounting experience within complex corporate environments
• Direct PPE accounting experience under ASC 360 and Lease Accounting experience under ASC 842
• Proven experience in compressed close environments, ideally supporting a 4-day close
• Experience with ERP implementations, NetSuite enhancements, or accounting system transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of GAAP application within complex operational environments
