Technical Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Accounting Specialist to shape the financial reporting landscape in a life insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the expert for technical accounting across US GAAP, JFSA, and Statutory reporting
• Conduct independent research on accounting standards and prepare technical documentation
• Lead enterprise-wide projects and educate finance teams on new guidance

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• CPA or similar professional designation
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with JFSA or Statutory accounting is a plus
• Ability to translate complex accounting concepts into actionable insights
