Technical Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Accounting Specialist to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and interpret U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting standards (NAIC)
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions (e.g., reinsurance, acquisitions, investments, new products)
• Draft accounting memos, position papers, and internal guidance for review by senior leadership and auditors

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; NAIC statutory accounting experience is a plus
• CPA designation preferred (or in progress)
• Prior experience at a Big 4 or national public accounting firm a plus
