Technical Actuarial Director

Job Summary

Leading a small team and serving as a bridge between actuarial, finance, and technology, the full-time Technical Actuarial Director will advance planning capabilities and modernize systems and processes while ensuring actionable forecasting outputs in a remote or office-based environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on forecasting methodologies and insurance business context
• Design and validate calculation logic while supporting system enhancements and testing
• Collaborate across teams to translate business needs into effective solutions and improve planning tools

Required qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field; postgraduate degree preferred
• At least nine years of related experience in an actuarial or statistical support role
• Expert knowledge of actuarial business functions and statistical methods of analysis
• Mastery of actuarial software, databases, and analytical tools
• Proven experience in strategic leadership and peer review processes
