Job Summary
To support UNOPS' mission-led innovation in energy transition, the part-time Technical Advisor for Energy Transition will drive strategic partnerships, enhance visibility, and provide technical leadership while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the principal focal point and thought leader for energy transition, enhancing UNOPS visibility and positioning
- Develop and disseminate mission-aligned materials and provide technical expertise in high-level discussions with partners
- Integrate mission-driven knowledge and innovation into UNOPS policy and service delivery, fostering collaboration and learning
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in energy policy, renewable energy engineering, climate change, or related fields with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience providing technical advisory support on energy transition, including social and economic dimensions
- Strong expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy policy
- Experience in conducting foresight and trend analysis in the energy sector
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic is desirable
