Technical Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time salaried Technical Architect will develop solution blueprints and optimize IT investments while collaborating with stakeholders to address business requirements within the Health Services Portfolio Technical Management and Strategic Solutioning Support program for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Quickly develop a holistic view of the organization's current IT architecture and future plans
• Conduct workflow analysis and technology assessments to define architecture strategies supporting long-term sustainability
• Create system design artifacts and translate high-level product development strategies into detailed implementation requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in application architecture or related fields
• Proven knowledge of technology and application landscape at the VA
• Experience in designing scalable, resilient, and highly responsive enterprise applications
• Well-versed in DevSecOps culture, processes, and tooling
