Job Summary
Collaborating closely with the art team, the full-time remote Tech Art Lead will manage and mentor a Technical Art team, create innovative character rigs, and establish efficient art workflows to enhance gameplay in a new action game.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Tech Art discipline and define team goals while contributing as an individual contributor in early project stages
- Build and manage the Technical Art team, mentoring internal Tech Artists and overseeing external Tech Art work
- Collaborate with project leadership to define and oversee the Technical Art roadmap, ensuring visual performance across all platforms
Required qualifications
- Experience in rigging workflow and pipeline creation
- Production experience with tools such as Maya, Substance Painter, and Photoshop, along with proficiency in Python
- Ability to translate art team goals into creative solutions while understanding cost, efficiency, and quality tradeoffs
- Experience managing and resolving performance and memory issues across different platforms
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine and experience shipping across multiple platforms (PC, console)
