Job Summary
To support the development of high-quality game content, the contract Technical Artist will work remotely to build and improve tools and pipelines for artists, focusing on animation and cinematics while collaborating across disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain tools that facilitate smooth content creation and iteration for animation and cinematics
- Build code libraries for technical artists and assist in troubleshooting tool workflows
- Document processes clearly and assist with DCC and engine version upgrades to ensure efficient pipelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game industry
- Strong understanding of Python, UMG, and Qt (or similar UI libraries)
- Experience with Maya and Unreal Engine 5, including sequencer
- Familiarity with Maya to Unreal pipelines and asset deliveries, including batch scripts and rigging setups
