Technical Business Analyst
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Business Analyst will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and the data modeling team, focusing on gathering and documenting business requirements for a large-scale enterprise data platform initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their processes, data needs, and analytical objectives
- Gather, define, and document business and data requirements, translating them into structured specifications for the data modeling team
- Ensure alignment between business stakeholders and data modelers throughout the modeling process, validating that delivered data products meet business requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Business Analyst supporting data platform initiatives
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and concepts, including medallion architecture and tools like Databricks and Snowflake
- Hands-on SQL proficiency for data analysis and requirement definition
