Technical CAD Designer IV

Job Summary

Supporting the Civil Structural Team, the full-time Technical CAD Designer IV will prepare and check 3D Revit and Inventor structural models, create definitions of parts and assemblies, and collaborate with BIM coordinators, with remote work options available.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and verifying 3D structural models and 2D drawings for structural building systems
• Creating definitions of parts and assemblies in various electronic formats to support analysis and manufacturing
• Collaborating with BIM coordinators to manage models and ensure compliance with drafting standards

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Structural Design or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 10 years of industry experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience using Inventor and Revit software tools
• Proven experience in structural drafting and modeling, including compliance checks
• Ability to pass a nuclear security background check for access to sensitive facilities
• Strong knowledge of structural drafting best practices and interfaces with mechanical and electrical systems
