Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I - Technical to join their inpatient coding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and verify ICD-10-CM diagnosis and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes for inpatient facilities
• Review patient documentation to ensure accurate coding and compliance with reimbursement standards
• Participate in coding meetings and maintain continuing education to uphold coding accuracy and efficiency

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, and Coding Guidelines
• Preferred 6 months of hospital coding experience
• Act 34 clearance required
