Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I - Technical to join their inpatient coding team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code all diagnoses and procedures by assigning and verifying the proper ICD-10-CM and PCS codes
• Review patient documentation to accurately assign diagnoses and procedures, ensuring correct sequencing for reimbursement
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards while participating in departmental meetings and continuing education

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, and ICD Coding Guidelines
• Preferred 6 months of hospital coding experience
• Act 34 clearance required
