Technical Coder II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II - Technical to join their Coding team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the billing system
• Code all diagnoses and procedures by assigning and verifying the proper ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
• Identify incomplete documentation in the medical record and formulate a physician query for clarification

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of hospital coding experience
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• Eligibility for RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certifications
• Act 34 clearance
