Technical Consultant - Sustainability

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Consultant for Plastics, Chemicals, and Sustainability in Health Care in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for the reduction and substitution of problematic plastics in health care settings
• Support the implementation of sustainability programs and engage with members of the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals network
• Strengthen chemical management practices and promote sustainable procurement within health care facilities

Required Qualifications:

• Technical or professional background in health, environmental sciences, sustainability, or related fields
• Experience in environmental management within health care facilities, including waste and chemicals management
• Basic knowledge of plastics and chemicals of concern in health care settings
• Understanding of health care procurement processes and criteria for sustainable purchasing
• General knowledge of circular economy approaches and waste management in health care
