Technical Data Governance Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Governance Lead to oversee data governance initiatives within the Military Health System.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance strategies aligned with DoD standards and MHS mission needs
• Oversee the adoption of scalable, DoD-compliant data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Lead a team of contractors executing data governance initiatives across data cataloging, policy, and quality

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, enterprise data architecture, or data strategy execution in large-scale federal or healthcare environments
• Expert-level knowledge of DoD data governance policies, metadata standards, and frameworks (e.g., DMBoK)
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Talend Data Catalog, AWS, Apache Hive, or Oracle Databases
• US Citizen; must be located in the US and eligible for DoD public trust or clearance
