Technical Data Steward

Job Summary

To support the HR Data Analytics team, the remote contract Technical Data Steward will manage data governance, ensure data quality and integrity, and oversee technical data management for HR data assets across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce enterprise data governance policies and standards, ensuring compliance across the business area
• Provide technical oversight and subject matter expertise on data management, including source systems, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools
• Build and maintain a data catalog, capturing metadata, data lineage, and ensuring clear documentation of data definitions and standards

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in technical data stewardship or related field
• Experience with Oracle HCM / PeopleSoft data and cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Lake and Power BI
• Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and data integration/ETL processes
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality management
• Experience implementing data governance capabilities across an organization
