Technical Director of Quality Assurance
Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Technical Director of Quality Assurance will define and drive enterprise Test Automation and Quality Engineering strategies, establish testing standards and quality metrics, and oversee quality initiatives across multiple software products in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement enterprise-wide quality strategies, testing standards, and governance frameworks
- Establish key quality indicators, dashboards, and executive reporting to measure software quality and release readiness
- Lead and mentor QA teams while collaborating with stakeholders to align quality objectives with organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 15+ years of experience in software quality assurance and quality engineering
- 7+ years of experience leading enterprise QA organizations or quality engineering teams
- Experience with automated testing and quality gates within CI/CD and DevSecOps environments
- Proven ability to define and implement quality metrics and risk-based quality reporting
