Job Summary
Supporting a federal agency in transitioning to a modern SaaS platform, the full-time Technical Documentation Specialist will analyze system requirements and create comprehensive documentation, ensuring clarity for developers, financial analysts, and agency leadership while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex business needs and federal accounting policies into formal functional requirements and Detailed Architecture Design Documents (DADD) for SaaS implementation
- Develop and manage data dictionaries, process maps, and formal test scripts to establish data governance and resolve discrepancies across systems
- Act as a liaison between accountants, developers, and IT leadership, producing clear presentations and briefings from technical configurations
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (dual citizens not eligible)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in business/systems analysis and advanced technical writing
- Proven track record in documenting the replacement or upgrade of legacy enterprise applications in modern software environments
- Ability to create and manage formal data dictionaries and draft functional test scripts for QA processes
