Job Summary

Supporting the development and maintenance of Safety Basis documentation, the remote Writer/Editor 3 will edit, format, and quality-check technical content related to nuclear and high-hazard facilities, ensuring compliance and clarity in critical documents.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and format Safety Basis documents, including Documented Safety Analyses and Technical Safety Requirements
• Ensure compliance with DOE orders, standards, and site-specific requirements while improving document clarity and consistency
• Coordinate with engineers and safety analysts to resolve comments and maintain version control of documents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in English, journalism, technical communication, or a physical/social science with 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience editing technical or regulatory documentation in highly regulated environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and document control tools
• Familiarity with DOE Safety Basis documents and configuration management processes is preferred
• U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements
