Technical Lead Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a cutting-edge Banking-as-a-Service platform, the full-time Technical Lead Engineer will design and architect banking infrastructure, ensuring compliance and reliability while leading event-driven architecture and API design in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts for Vantaca's BaaS layer, ensuring compliance with NACHA rules and operational requirements
- Design and evolve the event-driven architecture for banking transactions, focusing on reliability and fault tolerance
- Own the design and versioning of APIs for internal teams and client integrations, enforcing backward compatibility and quality standards
Required qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in backend engineering, particularly with banking platforms and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and API design
- Familiarity with banking compliance concepts, including NACHA rules and AML/BSA basics
- Proven track record of defining and evolving APIs with a developer-first mindset
- Experience with systems that process financial transactions, such as ACH or real-time payments
