Technical Mentor for AI Fellows
Job Summary
Serving as a full-time Technical Mentor for AI Fellows, the remote position will coach approximately 20 fellows across 8-12 host organizations, providing feedback on their work and facilitating their development throughout the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and manage a portfolio of about 10 pods, providing structured feedback on pull requests and facilitating weekly 1:1s with fellows
- Deliver curriculum modules and author content as needed, while co-leading practical assessments and framing cohort-wide sessions
- Identify and escalate recurring technical issues, ensuring program integrity and supporting fellows' technical work
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of professional software engineering experience on a real team
- Experience in coaching or mentorship, whether formal or informal
- Ability to provide specific and useful feedback on pull requests in unfamiliar tech stacks
- Experience shipping production work using AI-assisted development tools
- Strong written communication skills for asynchronous feedback delivery
