Technical Operations Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on leader, the full-time Technical Operations Manager will own the intersection of IT, security, DevOps, and infrastructure for an AWS-native platform, driving reliability, compliance, and AI-enabled operations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of AWS infrastructure and oversee incident response processes
- Lead the security posture of the platform, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 standards while implementing security policies and risk assessments
- Drive the adoption of AI tooling across technical operations, establishing guardrails for safe AI use in a regulated environment
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in technical operations, DevOps, infrastructure, or security leadership roles, with at least 2 years in a management capacity
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Direct experience with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and HIPAA
- Experience in regulated environments like healthcare, fintech, or insurance is preferred
- Strong judgment under pressure and the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
