Technical Operations Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Technical Operations Manager, the full-time role will oversee the intersection of IT, security, DevOps, and infrastructure to ensure the reliability and compliance of an AWS-native Medicare platform while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of the AWS-native infrastructure, driving CI/CD maturity and observability practices
• Lead security and compliance initiatives, managing HIPAA and SOC 2 programs, while ensuring a strong security posture across the organization
• Build and manage a small team, collaborating closely with engineering leadership and representing technical operations to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in technical operations, DevOps, infrastructure, or security leadership roles, with at least 2 years of management experience
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS services and security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and HIPAA
• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices
• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, fintech, or insurance
• Excellent judgment under pressure and ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
