Technical Operations Manager
Job Summary
Hands-on and detail-driven, the full-time Technical Operations Manager will oversee the reliability, compliance, and security of an AWS-native platform, applying AI tools to enhance operations while building a dedicated team and collaborating closely with engineering leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of AWS infrastructure, driving CI/CD maturity and observability
- Lead information security initiatives, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 standards while managing security posture and incident response
- Build and lead a high-leverage team, partnering with cross-functional leaders to align technical operations with organizational needs
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in technical operations, DevOps, infrastructure, or security leadership roles, with at least 2 years of people management experience
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Direct experience with security compliance frameworks, including SOC 2 and HIPAA
- Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, fintech, or insurance is a strong plus
- Excellent judgment under pressure and the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
