Technical Operations Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Technical Operations Manager, the full-time position will oversee the intersection of IT, security, DevOps, and infrastructure for a rapidly scaling AWS-native platform, ensuring reliability and compliance while leveraging AI tools for operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of AWS infrastructure, driving CI/CD maturity and observability practices
- Lead security compliance initiatives, including SOC 2 and HIPAA, while partnering with engineering on secure practices
- Build and lead a small team, collaborating with cross-functional partners to support operational needs and represent technical operations to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in technical operations, DevOps, or security leadership roles, with at least 2 years of people management experience
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services and security compliance frameworks
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices
- Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare or fintech
- Excellent judgment under pressure and the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
