Technical Product Manager

Job Summary

Leading a newly formed team, the full-time remote Senior Technical Product Manager will shape backend technology for Route's core platform, focusing on scalable systems and collaborating with engineering leadership to drive architectural decisions and technical priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the team's roadmap for backend platform systems, APIs, and data infrastructure
• Partner with engineering leadership to define architectural direction, including API design and schema governance
• Drive prioritization of cross-functional platform requests to establish scalable solutions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in technical or platform-focused roles
• Strong technical fluency in backend architecture concepts, including event-driven systems and API design
• Experience with data engineering initiatives and modern warehouse tools like Snowflake or Databricks
• Proficient in SQL for data quality and integrity investigations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
