Technical Project Lead

Job Summary

Leading awarded projects remotely from an ESA member state, the full-time Technical Project Lead will manage project delivery, oversee product ownership, and collaborate with partners such as ESA, ECMWF, and EUMETSAT while contributing to proposal development and technical writing.

Key responsibilities

• Own project management and product ownership on awarded projects, including scope, planning, and prioritization
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for technical and contract officers, ensuring effective communication among consortium partners
• Support business development by contributing to the technical approach and hands-on writing for EU proposals

Required qualifications

• Experience in leading technical projects as a lead engineer, project manager, or product owner
• Strong technical understanding of the domain, with experience in research & development and operational application engineering
• Solid project management skills, including scoping, tracking, and governance
• Experience in contributing to or leading proposals, particularly in technical writing
• Knowledge of the European Earth observation and space landscape, including relevant stakeholders and procurement processes
