Technical Project Manager

Job Summary

Leading the execution of a major AI-powered modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time remote Technical Project Manager will oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of complex projects while managing cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with federal governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage AI IT modernization projects supporting VA healthcare initiatives, ensuring effective use of AI platform outputs
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across concurrent workstreams, facilitating Agile sprint execution and aligning project delivery with mission objectives
• Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure compliance with VA and federal governance requirements throughout the program lifecycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of technical project or program management experience, with at least 3 years leading AI, ML, or intelligent automation delivery programs
• Demonstrated experience managing complex federal government IT programs, preferably within the VA or major federal health agencies
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience managing concurrent scrum teams in federal environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance
