Technical Proposal Writer

Job Summary

Managing and executing proposal efforts, the part-time remote Technical Proposal Writer will lead the capture process for defense contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and producing high-quality submissions that effectively communicate the company's value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and write technical, management, and cost proposal sections for defense contracts in response to RFPs and RFQs
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and compliance of proposal content while meeting all deadlines
• Conduct proposal reviews and edits, ensuring proposals are cohesive, compelling, and aligned with client needs and evaluation criteria

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing in the defense contracting sector
• Proven experience working on complex defense proposals, including DoD contracts and Federal Government RFPs
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record of working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
