Technical Revenue Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing Enterprise sales in the EMEA region, the full-time Technical Revenue Accounting Manager will manage revenue agreements, provide technical accounting expertise on ASC 606, and collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Finance to support growth objectives in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the review and approval of data center and cloud revenue agreements to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and Atlassian Revenue Policy
• Provide guidance to Sales, Legal, and Order Management teams on deal structure and contractual terms for revenue optimization
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on revenue accounting matters, ensuring accurate documentation and assessments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of revenue experience, with at least 3 years in a technical accounting role, preferably in a public company
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
• Proficiency in large scale ERP systems, with Oracle Fusion and Revpro as a plus
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• BA/BS degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred, with experience at a Big-4 accounting firm strongly preferred
