To support modernization efforts, the remote Technical Subject Matter Expert in Software Development will design, develop, and maintain software systems, focusing on APIs, cryptographic algorithm testing, and system architecture while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain software systems supporting APIs and validation workflows
- Implement automated testing capabilities for cryptographic algorithms and ensure compliance with FIPS and NIST standards
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to enhance system performance and security through modernization efforts
Required qualifications
- 12 years of progressive experience in software development or related specialty field
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field, or 16 years of focused experience without a degree
- Strong experience with cryptographic algorithms and standards, including FIPS 140 and NIST guidance
- Demonstrated expertise in API development and automation frameworks
- Must be a US Citizen
