Technical Staff Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Member of Technical Staff on the Frontier Data team, the successful candidate will design and build reinforcement learning environments, develop scalable platforms for task execution, and collaborate with researchers to enhance frontier model capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build RL environments, evaluations, and datasets targeting high-value capability gaps
• Develop internal platforms to run hundreds of thousands of tasks with required throughput and reproducibility
• Collaborate with researchers to shape dataset development aligned with their model roadmaps

Required qualifications

• Practical experience with agents, evaluations, or reinforcement learning workflows
• Strong technical background in systems engineering and ML tooling
• Experience in computer vision or multimodal models is a plus
• Prior work with an AI lab as a data or evaluation partner is advantageous
• High agency and a bias toward action in tackling ill-defined problems
