Job Summary
Providing remote technical support, the full-time Technical Support Engineer will analyze and troubleshoot building automation and control systems, networking, and related technologies while collaborating with service providers and product teams.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot application, communications, network, and control system problems, effectively communicating solutions to service providers
- Collaborate with product teams and provide subject matter expertise to Level 1 teams on new product development and maintenance
- Configure and maintain lab setups to replicate on-site situations for troubleshooting and support purposes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or an associate's technical degree with extensive relevant experience
- Strong understanding of networking principles, HVAC systems, and Building Automation Systems design and maintenance
- Extensive PC software and hardware skills
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standard protocols used in HVAC and automation products
- Strong understanding of AC and DC circuits
