Job Summary
Providing enterprise-level support for automated material handling and fulfillment systems, the full-time Technical Support Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve complex operational and controls-related issues remotely while participating in a weekend on-call rotation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver remote technical support for automated material handling systems, diagnosing and resolving issues involving PLCs, SCADA systems, and mechanical equipment
- Manage support cases from initial identification through resolution, ensuring effective communication with customers and internal teams
- Analyze and oversee system modifications to enhance performance and reliability, while guiding customers and field technicians through troubleshooting efforts
Required qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 5+ years of experience in supporting material handling, logistics, or industrial automation systems
- Strong hands-on experience with electrical controls, PLCs, and troubleshooting automation systems
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and a background in industrial automation support required
- Previous experience in commissioning, controls engineering, or technical support within an automation-focused role preferred
