Job Summary
To maintain the reliability and performance of customer environments remotely, the full-time Technical Support Engineer will troubleshoot issues related to Linux, OpenStack, and Kubernetes while collaborating with the development team and participating in on-call rotations.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer environments involving Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and networking technologies
- Reproduce and confirm customer issues in labs, providing detailed information to the development team
- Manage escalations and communicate effectively with customers during incidents, ensuring timely updates and resolutions
Required qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; four-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience (3+ years in technical customer support for IaaS/SaaS technologies)
- Strong knowledge of OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Linux system administration
- Experience with networking tools and troubleshooting network issues
- Proficiency in Python or scripting for automation tasks
- Experience with DCOPs, firmware upgrades, and virtualization solutions
