Job Summary
To support a new sci-fi remake project using Unreal Engine 5, the full-time remote Technical Systems Designer will own player progression, combat abilities, and core RPG systems while collaborating with a lean team to design and prototype gameplay features.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement core gameplay mechanics, including puzzles and enemy behaviors
- Analyze and iterate on player-facing mechanics for clarity, balance, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate features and maintain project vision
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Technical Designer, Systems Designer, or Gameplay Designer
- Proven ability to design complex RPG systems and player abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging and optimizing design logic
- Familiarity with FPS, immersive sim, roguelike, or systems-heavy action titles
- A passion for Sci-Fi and Horror media
