Job Summary

Working remotely as a freelance opportunity, the Technical Translator Brazilian Portuguese will translate technical documentation from English into Brazilian Portuguese, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure target text accurately reflects the meaning of the source material
• Perform linguistic tasks according to project instructions, including the use of translation memory and glossaries
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy and consistency in terminology and cultural references

Required qualifications

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
• Native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese
• Excellent command of English in both comprehension and writing
• Preferred experience in translation and proofreading within the technical field
• Familiarity with CAT tools and a willingness to learn new technologies
