Job Summary

To support a growing team, the freelance Technical Translator - French Canadian will translate technical documentation from English into French Canadian while ensuring linguistic accuracy and adherence to project guidelines in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure target text accurately reflects the meaning of the source material
• Perform linguistic tasks according to project instructions, including the use of translation memory and glossaries
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy and consistency while adhering to formatting and style guidelines

Required qualifications

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience
• Native speaker of French Canadian
• Excellent command of the English language in comprehension and writing
• Preferred experience in translation and proofreading within the technical field
• IT skills with knowledge of CAT tools
