Job Summary

To support ongoing projects, the freelance Technical Translator with German will provide IT translations, software localization, and linguistic review in a remote capacity, requiring a minimum of 4 hours of daily availability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform IT translations and software localization while ensuring terminology consistency
• Conduct linguistic reviews and quality assurance of translated materials
• Manage translation memories, glossaries, and style guides to maintain quality deliverables

Required qualifications

• Native German speaker with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, or equivalent experience
• Proficient in SDL Studio and CAT tools, with experience in IT and software documentation
• Strong editorial skills and familiarity with current language and terminology trends
• Excellent written and spoken English for accurate translation
• Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing project priorities efficiently
