Technical Underwriter

Job Summary

Utilizing their underwriting expertise, the full-time Technical Underwriter will manage and drive diverse strategies for the Auto book of business while collaborating with global colleagues and business unit heads to ensure portfolio quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust underwriting strategies based on performance metrics and insights
• Lead initiatives to develop technical underwriting guidelines and best practices
• Manage complex queries and referrals, ensuring profitable business writing

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of underwriting experience, or High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience
• CPCU designation preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Auto lines of business and the regulatory environment
• Experience in portfolio management, underwriting, and risk selection
• Strong influencing and collaboration skills with executive presence
