Technical Underwriter, Contingency

Job Summary

Supporting the underwriting of contingency risks, the full-time Technical Underwriter, Contingency will assist with risk analysis, policy administration, and broker service while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting new and renewal business by evaluating submissions and developing an understanding of pricing methodologies
• Maintain and analyze underwriting data structures to identify risk trends and support business planning with structured reports
• Build positive relationships with brokers and internal partners, responding to inquiries and resolving underwriting or policy servicing questions

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years in an analytical, underwriting, actuarial support, or insurance operations role
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
• Experience with relational databases (SQL) to analyze large datasets
• Familiarity with data-driven logic or scripting languages for predictive modeling
• Eagerness to learn and develop a career in specialty underwriting
