Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Technical Writer for a temporary, hybrid position in Houston, TX, who will create and maintain user manuals, collaborate with technical teams, and ensure documentation accuracy for complex IT products and software systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, author, and maintain comprehensive user manuals, technical guides, and online help systems
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to gather and validate technical information
• Edit and proofread documentation to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to corporate style guidelines

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of technical writing experience in an IT or software development environment
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or MadCap Flare
• Ability to manage multiple documentation projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field
