Technical Writer

Job Summary

Supporting the Perkins Federal Student Loan Contract, the part-time remote Technical Writer will develop, review, and maintain borrower communications and program documentation to ensure compliance with Federal Student Aid (FSA) requirements and Department of Education regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain borrower-facing communications, including letters, email templates, notices, and web content
• Ensure all written materials comply with regulatory requirements and review existing communications for accuracy and effectiveness
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, and operational teams to incorporate regulatory updates into communications and conduct quality reviews

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
• Five or more years of professional writing, technical writing, or compliance writing experience
• Experience interpreting policies, regulations, or procedural requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Security Clearance
