Technical Writer

Job Summary

Supporting a large federal agency's cybersecurity program, the full-time Technical Writer will translate complex security concepts into clear written content, develop technical documentation, and collaborate with cybersecurity professionals in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex cybersecurity concepts and technical findings into accessible written content for diverse audiences
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including policies, procedures, and user guides
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and ensure the accuracy of documentation

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in technical writing within a cybersecurity or IT environment
• Familiarity with NIST, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and/or CIS Controls
• General cybersecurity experience to effectively collaborate with technical staff
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) required
• Ability to successfully complete a federal background check and obtain public trust clearance
