Technical Writer

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the remote Technical Writer will document complex network topologies and automation processes, collaborate with subject matter experts to create operational workflows, and maintain a centralized documentation repository to support engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Document complex network topologies, automation pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) environments
• Partner with SMEs to design, map, and document operational workflows and procedural processes
• Build and maintain a centralized documentation repository in Confluence for usability and organization

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a technical writer within IT, networking, cloud, or engineering environments
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, and firewalls
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io, and publishing within Confluence
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
