Technical Writer

Job Summary

To support an organization within the infrastructure and engineering industry, the remote long-term contract Technical Writer will document network architectures, create process maps and operational playbooks, and manage centralized documentation in Confluence.

Key responsibilities

• Document network architectures, automation workflows, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Create process maps, SOPs, and operational playbooks in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Manage and organize Confluence spaces, templates, and documentation while maintaining version control

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience in IT, networking, or engineering
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and firewalls
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD
• Proficiency with Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io and Confluence
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
