Job Summary

To translate complex scientific research into engaging narratives, the full-time Technical Writer & Public Essayist will operate remotely for a 6-12 month contract, focusing on the societal impacts and ethical implications of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and advanced AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Convert complex theoretical concepts into accessible public-facing profiles and essays
• Author detailed analyses on the intersection of artificial intelligence, economics, and society
• Engage in adaptable ghostwriting and collaboration for high-profile guest essays

Required qualifications

• Proven track record of writing for top-tier publications or leading academic essays
• Deep familiarity with AI ethics, alignment, policy, or governance
• Expertise in formal sciences such as theoretical computer science, mathematics, or physics
• Background in social sciences and policy related to human behavior or science policy
• Experience as a senior journalist, academic essayist, or policy journalist
