Technical Writer

Job Summary

Translating complex scientific, medical, and IT concepts into clear, accessible language, the full-time Technical Writer will write and edit project deliverables, user guides, video scripts, and marketing assets in a remote role with periodic on-site presence in Silver Spring, MD.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit various documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility for end users
• Gather complex data and convert it into engaging narrative prose while enforcing language standards
• Adapt writing styles for multiple formats, including user manuals, e-learning scripts, and marketing briefs

Required qualifications

• At least an Associate Degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in technical writing/editing
• Mastery of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and publishing tools
• Proven ability to explain complex technical ideas in simple, grade-school-level language
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability clearance
