Technical Writer

Job Summary

To create and manage comprehensive software and systems documentation, the fully remote Technical Writer will collaborate with engineers and Subject Matter Experts to translate complex technical information into clear, organized materials for both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers to develop a comprehensive Technical Data Package documenting software architecture and interfaces
• Collaborate with engineers to document coding standards and architectural tradeoffs during meetings
• Conduct interviews with technical SMEs to gather information and develop accurate drafts requiring minimal revision

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
• Technical knowledge demonstrated through a background in engineering, computer science, or information technology
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to organize and communicate complex information clearly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and deliver high-quality documentation on time
