Job Summary
Supporting communications initiatives for the Veterans Health Administration's Electronic Health Record Modernization program, the full-time Technical Writer will develop and maintain healthcare policy documentation, translate complex content for executive audiences, and ensure high-quality deliverables while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain federal healthcare policy documentation in alignment with VHA directive formats and federal writing standards
- Translate complex workforce analysis and informatics modernization content into clear materials for executive leadership
- Manage document version control and coordinate updates to maintain alignment with evolving program requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in strategic communications or healthcare communications
- Experience supporting complex federal government initiatives, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Familiarity with AP Style, Section 508 compliance, and federal plain language requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
